The Antioch California Housing Market is a dynamic market with

Antioch California is the largest community in East Contra Costa County; setting on the Sacramento River it is truly the gateway to the delta. Antioch has a great water front business district, a great infrastructure, and is a community on the way back up after the housing crash. Antioch has lots of newer construction featuring large executive style homes to classic single story ranch style homes.

Prices still seem to be going up slowly, especially if you look at PPSF. What I find interesting is the Average Sold Price, both actual number and PPSF are all higher than what is actually on the market. What this tells me is that the higher end Antioch Homes are in demand and selling.
The community of Antioch was hit hard in the down turn and many people started to write it off. I have always been positive about Antioch. Antioch has a solid basic infrastructure; featuring new parks, schools, quality streets and community buildings; and it has basically solid and newer homes (although many have deferred maintenance issues). With the up turn in prices and many investors now selling the tax basis is going up in the city, the addition of the Walmart Super Center will also increase tax revenue. The city is investing in law enforcement and code enforcement. Antioch is headed in the right direction.
